G.A. Philkor Multi Energy Corp. (GAPMEC) secures permit to expand its generation capacity from 50 megawatts (MW) to 250 MW. The amendment was signed by the Department of Energy on November 8, 2017.
The addition is consistent with its vision of becoming the Philippines’ largest and pivotal generator of renewable energy solutions by 2030. This move is also expected to strengthen and expand its presence in the local renewable energy industry.
A solar park of this capacity can power up to 140,000 households, thus, staying true to GAPMEC’s mission of improving Filipinos’ lives by providing efficient, harmless, and sustainable energy solutions with reduced developmental impact on the environment.
